We have a total of 11 systems in all, which provide good area coverage throughout the lowveld region.
the community repeater is a shared radio system, which allows several concerns to operate on the same system. This eliminates the need for costly and often very lengthy licence applications. The system will only allow one operator to communicate at a time. You will not hear, nor be heard by other users, outside your group.
SIMPLICITY - YOU CAN BE UP AND RUNNING IN A FEW DAYS
To work through one of Delmac's Community Repeaters, you need to be within that radio systems area of coverage firstly, then we simply discuss product requirements, (Base radios, Vehicle mounted radios and Hand Held radios), fill out your Credit application form and Community Repeater Rental Form (attached below). You either use your existing radio equipment or buy the suitable products through Delmac, Delmac then programs the equipment to use the Community Repeaters frequencies (New Radio purchases are programmed at NO cost) Delmac then install, and you are good to go.
You own the radios, you pay for the installation then the rental fee for the use of the Community Repeater
No ICASA Licensing necessary as you are using Delmac's License!
The repeater equipment is licensed and maintained by DELMAC FIELD SERVICES, and we rent out the frequency used on the system. The channel is accessible via remote switching, thus we can enable or disable individual access to the system, so should you decide to go onto a system, switch on can be done without delay. We charge a nominal radio programming fee. charged against existing radios, to enable each radio onto the system., new radio purchases are programmed at no cost.
